Binney - Forty Years On
28 Feb - 9 May 2004

Binney - Forty Years On celebrates the work of one of New Zealand's best loved artists, and his 40 year love affair with birds and landscape.

Marking the anniversary of Binney's first solo show in Auckland in October 1963, the depth and variety of Binney's work is revealed, offering the chance to (re)discover the passionate commitment to painting, the environment and the subject of birds that flow through Binney's art and remain enduring concerns.

Toured by the Dowse and curated by Damian Skinner. We acknowledge the support of the national tour sponsor Dunbar Sloane and Creative New Zealand.
