Artist: Ashley Bickerton (USA)
Ashley Bickerton's recent work has been described as "botched Paradise paintings". Two of these large and extremely 'whacko' paintings will echo the manic rhetoric of Bill Hammond's work and operate at the strange and shrill end of the Bright Paradise spectrum. They transport the viewer into a scary space inhabited by deranged tourists, demented exhibitionists and evil hydra-like denizens of a tropical dystopia.
