The Edmiston Trust

In 1971 a further addition to the main building was opened, the Edmiston wing and sculpture garden, using funds bequeathed in 1948 by Auckland businessman, P. A. Edmiston. His trustees have purchased a number of excellent works including the 1985 Double-L Excentric Gyratory by George Rickey, now a familiar landmark near the Gallery’s entrance.
