Chartwell Trust

The Chartwell Trust is an independent body whose collection of approximately 981 works of New Zealand and Australian contemporary art has been acquired over twenty-five years through the insight, enthusiasm and diligence of trustee Rob Gardiner. Previously held in Hamilton, responsibility for the Trust’s collection has moved to Auckland where the collection can fulfil its objective of bringing the pleasures and challenges of contemporary art to a larger audience.
